Following the successful launch of SAFETYCON 2011, Expotrade are pleased to announce SAFETYCON 2012 and are excited to bring this stimulating programme full of leading industry OHS professionals to the resources hub of Australia.

The Australian Construction Industry is faced with a significant safety challenge, the introduction of new legislation along with other major challenges such as skills shortages, fatigue management, drug and alcohol abuse, a rise in immigrations workers and much more have all been identified by the industry to have specific implications to the complexity of the safety issues OHS professionals’ are dealing with today.

SAFETYCON has been tailored for all stakeholders engaged in construction projects to better understand these developing safety issues by presenting a holistic view of the greater challenge presented; which includes ensuring the collaborative effort and commitment to safety from the entire workforce and generating innovative safety management systems and strategies.

It has been identified that in order to achieve the goal of Zero Harm it will require a continuing commitment to safety from all levels of the workforce throughout the entire life cycle of a projects built environment, therefore, we encourage all industry stakeholders to join us as we bring together Government, Union and Industry to discuss this topic of national concern.
