2nd ACT Major Projects Conference 2013
9-10 April 2013 National Convention Centre, Canberra ACT

The 2nd ACT Major Projects Conference will be held on the 9-10 April 2013 at the National Convention Centre in Canberra, ACT. This event continues to be the largest major projects and infrastructure conference in the Territory, attracting over 150 delegates.

Australia's Capital Territory has grown into a mature city. With global, Australian and ACT economic activity returning to normal, the ACT Government’s focus can return to long-term strategic planning for future infrastructure.

The 2011-2012 Infrastructure Investment Program provides for new investments in infrastructure of $884.9 million over four years. The value of works in progress flowing from previous years is almost $860 million over four years, with $605.1 million available for expenditure in 2011-12. The total Infrastructure Investment Program over four years is $1.785 billion. Infrastructure is a long term asset and requires a long term view.

The conference will be a 2 day event which will focus on the significant investments being made by the government into major projects that are currently being worked upon as well as projects that are in the pipeline. It will cover areas of Housing, Education, Health, Transport, Water, Urban Planning, Sustainability and the overall development of the Territory.

The 2nd ACT Major Projects Conference 2013 will provide delegates with a platform to hear from industry leaders about up-to-date major projects in the ACT.  The conference will focus not only on the potential of further projects but offer a full half-day practical workshop on “how to win those government tenders” by a leading expert.
